Sunday in Ghana

Another great day in Ghana! We went to International Central Gospel Church this morning for worship. We had attended this church with Ebe on our last visit to Ghana and we were looking forward to going again.  Gabriel made it clear that he really didn't want to go to this church today since last time he got lost and was scared. We decided it would be best to keep the kids with us for the service and the church had a very nice room for families with young kids to watch the service. It worked out great. Gabriel was still not thrilled about being there but he managed to tolerate it. The rest of us really enjoyed the service. I especially love how our God is so big and worthy of worship all over this world. It may look a little different and sound a little different but deep down it is exactly the same! We praised our God who is worthy of all of our praise in America and Africa.

After church we joined Ebe and her husband and two young children for lunch. We enjoyed chicken and fish and rice and french fries. It was delicious.

When we came back to the hotel, Debo and I took a little rest and Gabe and Dad went straight to the pool. After a bit, we joined them and we all had another fun afternoon swimming followed by baths and a couple of movies.

We enjoyed facetiming with Liz and Cael twice today. They seem to be doing great with Granny. We also had some time with Aunt Judy and her crew and Nana and Bopa. ;-)

Everyday since we have been here Gabriel has said, " I want to go to America." Today he added, "Tell the Embassy that we want to go on Friday." I assured him that we have been telling the Embassy that for awhile and hopefully it will happen soon. At this point I really don't think I can leave here without these two children. Please join me in praying that it will be on Friday. Adam will be leaving and I can't imagine doing this without him. I know God has it all figured out and I feel great peace trusting Him with this.

Our current challenge is knowing if there is anything we should be doing while we wait. The Embassy has responded 4 times to my requests for appointments saying that they will not issue an appointment. Since we cannot get in without an appointment then we will not be going. We don't want to harm our case in any way so we are waiting and trusting and hoping and praying. While we are doing these things we are REALLY enjoying two of our four children and each other. ;-)

Look at this girl in her daddy's arms, trying to use the hotel hey.
